Mohave County Raises Fees

The Mohave County Planning and Zoning Commission voted on Aug.8, 2007 to approve an increase in fees for zoning applications and area plan amendments.  The approval includes increases of 20% for rezones, $200 for for zoning use permits, 50% for a new application for a modification of a previous approval, processing of plan amendments proposed by developers, and for zoning variances, and 25% for zoning permits for manufactured homes.  From 2001 to 2006 the number of rezone and zoning use permits has went from 234 to 543 and the number of plan amendment requests has risen from 9 to 50.  Subdivision fees will increase 30% from the last increase in 2006.
